With the BOGBALLE testing equipment D-Indicator and F-Indicator it is possible to identify the grain size and grain strength. The gravity is informed by the fertiliser supplier.
Procedure:
D-Indicator / Grain size division:
· Fill the D-Indicator cubicle (D> 4,75 mm) with fertiliser
· Shake the D-Indicator for 30 sec.
· Read the grain size division in percentage
F-Indicator / Grain strength:
· Choose 10 grains by random
· The grain strength is measured by pressing/breaking the grain with the F-Indicator
· Repeat the process with the selected grains
· Multiply the values and divide with number of grains
The result is the average grain strength.
Type in the results in BOGBALLE Fertiliser Analysis and search for a suitable spread chart.
